COMPLETE FINAL STRATEGY FOR JEE ADVANCED 2021 ( MUST for all )

Hello friends!! In this post, I am sharing complete final strategy for JEE ADVANCED 2021 which will surely boost your score :

What to study?

First of all, I suggest you to go through last 4-5 years question paper & see the pattern.
JEE ADV pattern is quite different from JEE MAINS. In Mains, they ask almost 1-2 ques from each topic. But in case of Adv, they ask quite a lot of question from "some special topics" & almost zero from others.
So, What is the smart approach now ??
Yes, you guess it correct, prepare first for these topics and this is more than sufficient for Adv .
Yes, you read it correct. Believe me, if you get 50-60% marks, you may be my junior in IIT KGP [ however I won't take ragging XD] .

So, How to revise them effectively ??
For each topic, first of all, go through your notes quickly,  theory must be clear to you for Adv. Next solve few standard question which you have solved earlier & revise how a particular approach works. Next solve few good Previous Year questions of that topic. Finally, solve few "fresh" question of that topic. If you don't have set of any "fresh" question, then check out my blog, you will find lot of nice Adv level questions for free :-)

But, What are those important topics??

Physics:
1. Thermodynamics*
2. Sound Waves [specially organ pipes & doppler effect]*
3. Modern Physics*
4. Geometrical Optics
5. Error Analysis & Unit and Dimensions & Exp Physics*
6. Rotation

Chemistry :
1. Thermodynamics
2. Electrochemistry
3. Chemical Kinetics*
4. Chemical Bonding*
5. Coordination Compounds*
6. Salt Analysis [ optional ]
7. Aldehyde & ketones
8. Aromatic chemistry*

Mathematics :
1. Matrices*
2. Probability
3. Vectors & 3D*
4. Complex numbers
5. Definite Integrals
6. Application of derivatives
7. Conic Sections

NOTE : If you are an average student or you haven't prepared well yet, then I recommend you to first go through starred topics. They are relatively easy & a lot of questions are asked from them.

Okay, is it sufficient to just revise these topics ??
NO, I suggest you to solve a "mock-test" of any reputed coaching institute once in 2-3 days & make sure to properly analyze it. You can find a lot of them in my blog :-)

Examination Strategy ??

I used to follow the same strategy for JEE ADV except that I used to solve paper in two rounds in JEE Adv rather than three ( as in Mains).

Some general tips :

  • Don’t be too much nervous . It is just an exam & nothing beyond it… Be light & calm.
  • JEE is more of a "mental" test rather than PCM. Lot of people give up during their two years of preparation but you are the one who has successfully defeated the "real" terror till now! So, just bear it for few more days :-)
  •  Be careful to take admit card & all other necessary stuff with u. Don’t be careless at this point.
  •  Be sure to take a good sleep of atleast 7 hours before ur exams. Try to have proper breakfast before ur exam  & lunch between paper 1 & paper 2. But don’t overeat — as u might sleep in exam!!
  • Try to minimise ur study one day before exams. Just revise formulas or solve few questions & try to be as calm & cool as possible.
  • Do not discuss any academic thing between Paper 1 & Paper 2 with your friends as well as your parents.
Finally give your BEST !
Have trust in GOD & trust in yourself !!
        Everything will be fine !!!

Hope this will help you!!

ALL THE BEST

Thanx for reading till now!!

PS : If you have any query , feel free to ask me in comments & make sure to click on "Notify me" checkbox. I will try to reply asap. Currently my semester is quite loaded but I will still try to answer to your question in short time :-)

  1. Hello bhaiya. I am in class 11th. I wanted to ask that if I want to prepare for KVPY (7th November), IOQP etc. which are being held on/before Jan 2022, how should I manage my JEE preparation with them? My coaching will probably finish 11th course of PCM by last week of December, so I need to study more chapters beforehand from 12th topics also. So should I start reading the extra chapters on my own from books like University Physics or I should use lectures online? I think reading will be much faster. Also, KVPY is even before my syllabus finishes. So please help in that also.

    1. I recommend u to appear in KVPY in class 12th..
They may ask few class 12 concepts also in SA stream..
Besides, u also need to read bio :(
This may affect ur JEE preparation

    3. bhaiya my biology is complete. i am worried about the 12th topics like electrostatics and geometrical optics and chemical kinetics.....:(

    4. That's why I suggested to focus on JEE now & prepare for KVPY next yr

  2. Hello bhaiya. I wanted to know that if I am solving Pink BOOK By Vikas Sir after my coaching material, can I only solve Single Correct, Subjective problems? Will it be enough for JEE Adv. under 500? I am in 11th. Also, if you think any other section is very important please mention that section and please tell that did you solve the whole book cover to cover?

    1. Currently, it is ok if u solve only that portion..
Try to finish others later on during side-by-side revision..[like just solving 10-20 ques once a month & that is also nice for revision pupose..]

    2. Hello Bhaiya
Could you please share some advanced level questions in Error Analysis & Unit and Dimensions & Exp Physics?
      Thanks

      Delete
    3. I don't have a set of advanced ques for these topics..
But what I can suggest u is go through PVQs , u will get to know the types of ques which r asked from these topics
For unit & dimensions & error analysis- nothing specific needs to be done... just do PVQs..
For Exp phy - once read syllabus of JEE Adv , u will lot of exp there in first point, google & read abt them a little bit.. that is sufficient..

  4. bhaiya I am unable to solve many ques from level 2/3 of shashi bhushan tiwari sir's advanced problems book. But i am able to understand the solution. So, i wanted to ask that how many ques were you able to solve in first go of level 2/3 of SBT?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. SBT is quite difficult... Level 2/3 problems are even more difficult than JEE adv!
But the thing is that it introduces u to quite variety of problems & how diff concepts can be mixed in a problem, so try to solve as much as u can. If u can't solve any ques, don't feel low bcoz that won't be asked in real JEE but a similar easy version can be asked!! So, it is a must to read the solution & understand it properly

      Delete
    2. Thanks, bhaiya ji. Also, bhaiya how much time did you spend on one problem? I am in 11th and have a lot of time. I spend 20-25 minutes on one problem and then look at the answer/solution.

      Delete
    3. What I suggest is :
First spend 15-20 min on a problem.. If u don't get it , then move to the next one. After u hv tried all problems, spend another 15-20 min on the problems which u were unable to solve.
If u still don't get, then try again on evening/next morning & after that, u can see the solution.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. make a habit of doing revision for 2 hrs daily..
This way u will never have to specifically prepare for any test..
Just revise latest taught topics 1-2 day before tests..
Currently u should focus more on the present topics & if u get time after revision, then practice for ur weak topics..

      Delete
    2. For revision would you suggest to read notes or solve new problems?

      Delete
    3. First revise notes, then solve some standard problems(which u hv solved earlier also), then solve few new problems

  10. Bhaiya pls help me i didn't study hard in 11th and towards 11th end i got TB(Tuberculosis) from one of my friends and hence also messed up 4-6 months in 12th as i was bedridden all the time and could not study anything and corona also happened that time. I took no coaching as i live in a very remote area but have shifted to Jaipur recently for my drop year and I'm joining a coaching institute there Can you pls guide me or give any advice , i got air 189000(appx 80 %ile) in jee 2021 and i belong from general category Also i had done some chapter till mains level in 11th and 12th and on analysing i found i lacked revision and problem practice so i am doing my coaching material first(with pyqs) and after that the books you recommended if time permits. Is it correct bhaiya ?? But i am getting very less time for books as the first attempt is in feb and it is easy to score in it comparatively hence i am aiming for it.
Last time the luck didn't favoured me but this time i am aiming for a very good rank in both mains and adv. and am also doing hardwork for that accordingly. Am i going in the right dirn or i need to do something else also ?? My dream is to pursue Cse from old iits . Also i was not that bad in academics 97% in 10th (even in mid 11th also i topped my school) but that shitty disease ruined me

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes it is correct.. First understand theory properly , then solve ur coaching material...
Besides, take out 2 hrs daily for revision, in which u revise a topic which u hv covered. This way, u will remain in touch with what all u hv studied. Also, u can solve books during revision if there is lack of time.

      Delete
  11. bhaiya please tell me a strategy to revise effectively. Like should I revise only notes and class illustrations or problems which i had solved earlier or new problems? i am in 11th. i study for 9-10 hours daily (including coaching hours)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. First revise notes
Then solve some standard ques which u hv solved earlier
Then few new problems & while solving them, if u find any ques interesting then mark it for solving in next revision.

    2. Oh. Ok bhaiya thanks. One more doubt bhaiya, If I am able to solve my coaching material then do I need to solve Cengage/Arihant/Physics Galaxy/Anurag Mishra etc.? My coaching material has 200 ques per chapter. Also, will it be good to solve ALLEN RACE(JEE ADVANCED) for revision purpose?

      Delete
    3. Truly there is no need of solving any other book but people solve it for getting fresh ques..
& I dont know much abt Allen Race..

    4. Ok bhaiya. Did you solve Irodov? Or you directly jumped to Shashi bHUSHAN Tiwari after cengage and coaching material?

      Delete
    5. Yes i solved irodov's all JEE relevant ques..
I found SBT very late(in mid-july 2020) & hence solved only few ques from it..

      Delete
    6. Bhaiya if I skip Irodov and directly jump to SBT after coaching material will it be a right decision?

    1. Sorry for replying late :(
Set up small small target of short duration(maybe 4-5 days) & list down topics which u can revise in this duration. Revise theory, solve some standard problems & then try to solve some new questions..
For physics, first make sure that theory is clear to u, then start from easy problems & try to solve till irodov level problems. If u don't get any problem, check out its solution & make sure to understand it well. U can take help from friends, teachers.. Be confident & everything would be fine!

    1. He has already told about books in this blog and quora answers.
But let me tell you his choice of books won't help you, as his preparation was different than yours.

      Delete
    2. See, you have got 93%ile which is just average but enough for you to qualify jee advance. Now if you main goal is advance then in these 4 months, solving books won't help you much. I would recommend you to solve rank boosters of popular coachings or you can join CATS program by competishun. No, I am not advertising them. But I am suggesting you this because there teachers are ex hods of resonance and in this course they will train you for advance + this course produced AIR 58 last year and many more under 200-300 so just follow them you may get a rank under 3000, which is enough for a decent branch in old iits
